Through Ball/Pass An Important Tool For Beating Offside Trap

‎What is a through ball or through pass? Simply put, a through ball/pass is a pass made by a player into space, not directly to a teammate, the pass is typically made through a gap or space between defenders, to an attacker/striker making a run in space.
A through ball or through pass is highly effective for beating offside traps, because as all defenders are standing on the same line to catch an attacker in an offside position, they unknowingly create gaps and loopholes behind the back line, no depth and cohesion in the defence, the striker/attacker making a timed run towards the through pass/ball has more speed necessary to beat the defender to the ball.
